Need trade advice . . .
Have a possibility of trade to get an early model “National Ordnance M1 carbine”.
First – should I even consider getting a non-GI carbine?
Second – What would a realistic trade value be?
Any advice is greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

National Ordnance were non-GI commercial builds. I saw one that actually had horrid square barrels under the hand guard and could only use perforated metal hand guards. Others had 1903 Springfield barrels modified to fit.

Depends on what you're trading for it.
An old shovel? Go for it.
A firearm? Why?

Why give up a perfectly good shovel for one of those??? Dirt, maybe, but only if it's not too much work!
