TDH, the one in my picture is done some what the same(same oil ) and steel wool about 5 coats, but the tiger stripe makes it look weird and the other one pictured was stained first (X2) but did not have stripes. I now use BLOicon/turp 50/50 and hopefully in time they will darken.
