In this particular case, a comparison was done between carbine serial #'s & the cooresponding pictures of those
carbines sold at CMP auction, to the serial #'s and pictures sold on a popular gun auction site. Mixmaster carbines
with late features sold at cmp auction were showing up at a gun auction with early or other desirable features. Serial #'s on the altered guns were identical to ones sold at cmp auction. Groups of 2 or more carbines sold at
cmp auction to the same buyer are particularly suspect.
