The Lee Enfield Rifle on Abebooks

Hi, I got my copy from Abebooks some months ago and paid about £30 Sterling for it. They have 4 for sale at present but to my horror they are now priced between £56 and £70 plus postage from Canadaicon or USAicon. Have a look. A good read but I personally am too tight to pay £60 quid. £30 was pushing it! Best Regards

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. Hi, Not sure if my reply got through, so I will try again. There are 4 "The Lee Enfield Rifleicon" books by Reynolds for sale at present on a book selling site called Abebooks at £60 to £70 plus postage. I have used them several times and they are very good. The price has doubled since I got mine only 6 months back. It`s an excellent read for someone who shoots in competition or for someone who want to improve his shooting skills. Obviously a bit dated but good info.

In some respects, Reynolds had the inside track as he was attached to the administrative side at Enfield. Ian once mentioned that Reynolds at or nearing his retirement was given an amount of money from Enfield to write the book.
