Got lucky a while back; was given a Long Branch No.4 Mk.1 with an adjustible Parker Hale flip-up rear sight that replaced the original sight.
First time out on the range during our High Power Rifle shoot, it was shooting like a shotgun, all over the range. That was before I checked it out properly.
Fortunately, like all mature ladies after some proper attention she turned out to be realy acurate.

New to the forum, but have posted on Parallax bills site for a couple of years.
Intro on new members intro page has more details.
I would love a Nice clean #1MkIII*, I have an extra '07 bayonet that needs a rifle.
Also would love a nice #1MkIII, #1MkI, or #1MKI***, and a Long lee.
I can only dream about getting a real #4MkI T, matching with a chest etc...
Now I gotta clean up the drool.

Think I just found mine!
Was keeping a look out for the rifle my Grandfather likely carried in the Great War (he served with the KLR, RE, and RFA 1916-1919). Recently found a 1914 LSA Model 1 Mark 3 in very nice, numbers matching original condition that works for me.
My problem is I have no immunity to "the sickness" and now that I'm "into" Enfields...
Gosh, the Mk5 jungle carbines sure are purdy...
EDIT This rifle has caused me to research my Grandfathers war record and I have discovered a lot I never knew... When I posted this the other day, I only knew of his RE service...

What i want is entirely out of my price range, that be a Lithgow
No1 mk 3H.T. But in it's stead, ill take a lithgow No1 Mk3 with volley sights, a Lithgow .22 hornet or the lithgow .410, that way i can add the slazengers to their mod55 and mod12 brothers.

I know of one that a freind of mine picked up at a gun show in sydney for a good but not exorbitant price, was beautifully stamped and the timber was immaculate not to mention it had the history of the rifle with it. The gentleman he bought it off was peter thurly from Tasmania, who seemed to have a lot of or was able clap his hands on a lot of that sort of thing.
good luck and happy hunting.
