British P-14
This may be the wrong forum but here goes:
I have a Winchester mfg P-14 in Good-VG condition. It is mostly original including the bbl but has an Eddystone P-14 stock. The barrel is frosted from corrosive ammo. I am familiar with the US M1917s but not the P-14s. Any ideas on the value? Thanks.

Applecart,
your right about the wrong forum, stay with Milsurps but look under, M1917 and Pattern 1913/1914 Rifles
Regarding the question, in the UK
they sell for around £300 - £400 average condition, a lot of P14,s in the UK were rebuilt as target rifles, and rebarreled to 7.62mm.

The 7.62mm P-14 rifle barrels have enough meat on them and quality of steel to be turned down to No4 or 5 spec. without recourse to sleeving the breeching thread. My friend is just about to turn one down to convert his shot out No5 into something useable and cheap-ish to run again.
Anyone else tried this. It's cheaper that using up a 7.62mm L4 barrel which are getting hard to get now

Not yet but its on the cards, If its any interest to any one, I converted a mauser barrel few weeks back to use in my No1 MkV ( it is now chambered in .30 M1
Carbine) see Link below , page 2 part 5. needs some time to load lots of pics etc.

I'm about to do it with an M17 barrel from a target rifle that was otherwise rendered useless. Barrel is great, and will soon adorn a cut down wood, heavy barreled No4 range rifle. L42 inspired... I'll post as I get to it...
