Does NL 346 indicate any dogleg hammers marked I-I? The answer to that question should help explain what the mark on the hammer in the original post is.
As far as the hammer on the 256k Inland that G26ster posted. That hammer is from Inland production in a later serial number block. See NL 361, page 13.

Chris whats confusing is the chart to the left on 346-20.
Under Mfgs of hammers is "I.I." Inland Mfg Div.
Chart on right only shows HI, or H.I. in this range, but the info from NL 206 requoted in 346 does show I.I., but not specifically to a hammer type. My first question was, NCR, or Hemphill.
I think someone else suggested Inland?
I never even looked at the type 3 hammer...thats where the NCR was. The first time I showed this hammer on this sight, it was suggested it was NCR. I didnt have 346 then!

The chart on the left shows most of Inland's hammer manufacturers. The chart on the right shows what Inland was using in the first serial number block.

Sorry, I confused things by mentioning my 265k Inland. I realize I have a Type III hammer in there. Wish I could find a proper Type II dog leg.
