Could you please provide a source link? I would like to check that out.

Patrick, the link I mentioned is this one to Anglo Custom rifles in the UK
. I don't have one to the German
comopany who engineers the conversion parts. There is not much info on the Anglo Custom website. The rest of the information I have posted has come from chatting to Gavin and also to DavidTS here.

Guys
I know the barrels are being made by Lothar Walther, but I am not sure how much of the other fabrication, if any, is being done in Germany
.
As I understand it the rifles made up from 'secondhand' parts will use original gas blocks, with the 'new' builds (i.e. built from brand new original parts, in the wrap) there aren't any blocks available, which might entail replicas being cast (since the gas block is obviously a dummy as such anyway).
I should pick mine up next Saturday with a bit of luck, i'll see what more information I can glean then

The mention of parts sourced in Germany
came from Gavin at Anglo Custom Rifles......no mention of Luxembourg from him. But as David can confirm, Gavin is really busy (ACR is not his main business) and if I'm totally honest, I found it pretty hard to get what little information I have.

I should have Gavin's ear, face to face next Saturday

Thanks for those links, they are very interesting.
It may be that the Anglo Custom rifles originate from LuxDefTec, although I have my doubts as Gavin has had to have barrels made for his, and he is missing other parts for the builds from new parts, and all the ones you linked are already built rifles. For the UK
they will have to be modified so they are only capable of single shot, with a new bolt etc. This would account for the extra price.
Anyway, I have to say i'm not too bothered where mine comes from provided a) it is legal, and b) it works

Also hoping to get mine soon, deposit cheque has just been cashed, as Gabby said it would. Is it worth contacting them again? They said they would let me know when it's ready.
I have nice long wood butt, but have not managed to source a decent wood forend. Don't know if it would look good with just the butt. Also managed to get an Israeli Trilux and mount. Should be fun.
Is it worth getting an empty mag bolt hold open? It looks like you can modify the existing one quite easily.
Sorry about all the questions, getting quite excited about this rifle,I've always wanted one.
