It does look sort of like it came from Planet of the Apes. I wonder how he did it, moved the trigger forward like that. There is some displayed cleverness in the conversion.

The scope mounts are tall enough that you would need to allow for the curvature of the earth.
As previously mentioned, some cleverness displayed but otherwise it's ruined a carbine

It does look a little like the "Ape rifles" they made using M1
carbines, but they were intended to look crude

When I see these kind of bubba works I always think of the time and effort it took to mess up a classic firearm so much.
