Post-war M1 Garand sling?
This M1
sling got me confused...
It seems to have a finer khaki weave than the darker olive green post-war models, but the hardware seems to be post-war? It has no markings.
Is this a refurbished WW2 sling, a post-WW2 sling or just a plain fake?

It is a commercial sling from the 1980's.

How do you identify these commercially made items?

They were faked when our Army was changing to desert type material and clothing. These were never made by our military.
