Too bad the rear sight is notched

That field modification rear sight has some appeal. I would rather have that then have it replaced with an adj sight.

Several of us here have originals with sights like that.
I would not hesitate one bit to buy one with that done to the sight.

It was done for quicker site in when in combat, I have seen it before. And I can understand why.

A lot of soldiers grew up hunting with "buckhorn" sights. So that type of modification would make sence. It's still the sight that came with the gun. I would leave it.....Frank
