I have some experience of firing muzzle loaders and BPCRs in multi-range matches (100 +200 + 300 meters) where the trajectory is much more sharply curved, but the basic challenge is the same - after firing at one distance, you have to be able to make the correction well enough to be instantly well on target, hopefully well in the black, at the next range. I also frequently have to train at 100 meters one week, and then shoot a competition at 300 the next week. We have very little opportunity here for training at 300 meters, so are used to "cold" corrections".
If you can tell me exactly HOW this DAP thing is set up (relationship of bore center line to sight line, POA etc), I think I can give you a correction that will put you in the black for plausible muzzle velocities. If you happen to know the muzzle velocity, so much the better.
I also need to know how you aim - 6 o'clock hold or dead center! And the size of the blacks at the respective ranges.
If you can get the chance to zero the rifle at ANY range, then it is a doddle. OK, well not quite, but one can make a PDG estimate!
Give me the facts as far as you know, and I will do my best.
