Sig Sauer P6 From Aim
Just got a cold war Sig Sauer P6,which is a P225,single stack 9mm,West German
made,P6 markings are police, military markings.Came with 2 mags, original box, brand new black leather pancake factory SIG P225 holster.Like new condition with a little slide finish wear,a little 4440 Brownells Bluing fixed this. From Aim for $270.00.Made in Nov,1982.
I love these Sig pistols,I carry a P229 .40 caliper,in a leather shoulder left cross draw holster,tritium night sights,3 mags,flashlight.
I refinished several for some local officers, for their personal backups.I love the way the way they feel in your hand. The thinner single stack,is a natural pointer, with the de-cocker,makes for a great carry pistol. This pistol is accurate as hell,2-3'' groups at 25 yards. The only thing I don't care for is you need a Sig factory sight tool to move or replace a front or rear sight, its on a special tapered dovetail, about $300.00,and you can't move one without the tool. The Sig factory armorer said they brought in 500,000 P6 guns. The guy said he doesn't know why people would want a single stack gun, when for a couple hundred dollars more you could get a double stack, high capacity gun.Well,a lot of people disagree, they are hot sellers.I have H+K,Glocks,SIGS and have to say they are my favorites, next to a 1911A1.Some places give you a SIG miltary shoulder holster, too.

I really like the decocking feature on the SIG SAUER pistol for concealed carry. This means you can rack the slide and load a bullet into the chamber, then press the decocking lever, which lowers the hammer and the firing pin safety,to fire you you just pull the trigger,in DA mode, for the the first round, then it is in SA mode. Its called CONDITION ONE when you have a live round in the chamber, which can be tricky and dangerous in a lot of pistols ,easy to have a misfire,or discharge the firearm accidentally.
The SIG SAUER decocker makes this as safe as it gets,it cannot fire unless you pull the trigger.CONDITION ONE is usually only for going into a state of when eminent action is expected, you don't have to rack the slide,to chamber around, saving time in a gunfight, just pull the trigger,no safety to remember or anything.A interesting side note, this pistol was made in response to the 1972 Munich massacre, the 1972 OLYMPIC GAMES when terrorist sized the entire ISRAELI TEAM which ended in disaster, the terrorist pulled and fired explosives on the HUEY choppers when leaving with the ISRAELI team on board, after a deal had been made, killing everyone.
No body was prepared for anything like what happened, and that started all the security measures that we all are now familiar with in our lives.

In answer to that Sig guy wondering why anyone would want a single stack pistol. Here in CA the limit is 10 so a P6 makes all the sense in the world. Maybe for those in other states this is a drawback but out here it doesn't make much of a difference. Better than wasting your money on much more expensive and less reliable handguns.
My brother got one from AIM and its a great gun. And the decocking feature is very handy.
