Hi Warren, welcome to the forum, a most helpful place you'll find. The reloading thing is a big topic and there's a ton of info out there,. For general enfield info try enfieldresource.com. For more affordable ammo try gun shows or buy from websites, there's ammo sites on enfield resource.
There's also three sources for head space gauges on enfield resource and they are also usually for sale ebay for about $25, they're easy to use, and you're right, its peace of mind thats well worth it.
What year and maker of enfield do you have, and is it in military wood or hunterized?
cheers rjwnz

I use and highly recommend this press. I've had mine for a couple of years now and I like how you can keep all your dies set up in the removable turrets. Plus it works fine and it's cheap. Any decent dies will out last you. Just get a simple Full Length size set, and seater, I think the Lee RGB sets are fine and cheap but don't forget to also buy the shell holder which is not included.
