I have a similar problem with mine - safety partially engages occasionally. I may file/radius the safety slightly and attempt to fix. If you take the safety completely out - problem goes away.

You may find the following link interesting if you've ever priced magazines for these (which can hit $70-$90) for originals. This fella is making these here in the US, price $28.95 if I recall - shipping $5 for up to 8 magazines. Get your buddies to go in and order a couple.
