, my 1st port of call would be Phil Rose, who has an extensive selection of Lee Enfield spares and is always helpful. He also does very good quality gunsmithing on .303's, which he knows a great deal about - and at very reasonable rates. Can recommend highly.

The parts people you contacted may be confused based on what you called your rifle. Due you mean No.4 Mk1? No.1 Mk4 is a conversion of a Long Lee to No. 1 Mk3 specifications. It can get pretty confusing at times. Your list of required parts seem to indicate No. 4 based on the one screw for front sight guard. A No.1 would require two.

Thats what I expect people to help me understand when I call them like BDL
did. Not just a yep... yep... yep , easy for a new guy like I said I was on the phone to get confused.
