In the UKicon, my 1st port of call would be Phil Rose, who has an extensive selection of Lee Enfield spares and is always helpful. He also does very good quality gunsmithing on .303's, which he knows a great deal about - and at very reasonable rates. Can recommend highly.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. I will accept PayPal, Zelle, MO and good old checks (and cash if you want to stop by for a tour!). CLICK BANNER to send me a PM for International pricing and shipping. Manufacturer of various vintage rifle scopes for the 1903 such as our M73G4 (reproduction of the Weaver 330C) and Malcolm 8X Gen II (Unertl reproduction). Several of our scopes are used in the CMP Vintage Sniper competition on top of 1903 rifles. Brian Dick ... The parts people you contacted may be confused based on what you called your rifle. Due you mean No.4 Mk1? No.1 Mk4 is a conversion of a Long Lee to No. 1 Mk3 specifications. It can get pretty confusing at times. Your list of required parts seem to indicate No. 4 based on the one screw for front sight guard. A No.1 would require two.

Hi guys, thanks for all the useful information here - great how much information you can pick up ! Can I ask a follower query please - I'm based in Australiaicon, while the big suppliers you mention here (BDLicon and Numrich) are in the USAicon. Am I going to get myself in trouble with Customs if I try to order then import parts from these guys in the US into Australia ? Parts in question are upper and lower bands and screws for a No4 Mk1, and perhaps a magazine.
