i just fixed one ,also an inland for a guy that was local to me, i ground out most of it with a burr then i tigged it out. then remilled it true.it was a real pain in the arsenal. i wouldnt do it again.good thing is , you can get a good receiver on gunbroker for less then what it would cost to fix

Yes, really is a shame. It is cracked right thru and the rest of the rifle is in very good shape. I might turn it into a museum rifle or sell the barrel off.Barrel is marked Davidsons (lightly) but is in good shape.

It may be paralax in the photo but it sure does looks distorted bad to me. If it's as bad as it looks I would bet that is your problem. Are you sure it's not a re-welded demil? If it looks like that in real life and has not been patched back together, I'm wondering if someone has heated it up to get a barrel off without the proper tools, put some kind of cheater bar through the mag well to put the torque to it and bent the receiver. The deflection is in the right direction. JMHO

Man, I wrote the above reply before I even saw the second page pic. Sorry. Your receiver is currently unserviceable toast. Who knows how but the metal was fractured and how much the side rail is distorted. I defer to others here more experinced in this kind of repair work but I don't think it will be easy, if possible at all. I would NOT fire the thing anymore if I were you. Semper Fi.

You are right, it is toast. I won't fire it. Like I mentioned above, it is either a non-firing museum piece now or I'll rebuild it if I can find an Inland 43 receiver. Perhaps just sell off the parts.
