Dont know if this is the right place but I've just seen a auction site in NZ that will be auctioning some very nice rifles in July.
NZ Antique Arms Association (Wellington Branch) Inc. - Items in the 2008 Auction
I've already seen

Mk1 cavalry Carbines
Long lees
No.5s
No 8 .22s (I think)
No.4s
Lithgow
L1A1 SLRs (A very nice SKN or cutaway model)
a L4A4 Bren, probably from the 72 contract
a number of .303 Brens including a Brit deac and one with a Mk4 (Mk3) short barrel.

About 5 years ago I dealt with the NZ
Police regarding the exact status of a Cadet GP 5.56mm SA80 (an L98A1). After a report from us at the small arms school and supporting documentation, it was allowed in and as far as I'm aware, still lives happily in Ch-church. We also gave the Army an SA80 in L85 and L86 form
I think that where NZ differs from the rest of the planet is that they allow the reasonable and sensible to have what thay like, with conditions of course. When something goes wrong or an offence is committed, then they punish the wrongdoer instead of effectively punishing the whole shooting community with blanket legislation. ................................oh, don't get me going........

We tend to pick on our brothers over the Tasman a lot (good naturedly ) but many times I have thought they have got it right and over here we are legislating ourselves into mindless politically correct automatons. To get something from NZ
to here is no less hassle than from the US or the UK
... and they are considering passportless travel between the two countries.

There is also a No4T in its chest in that auction.
We have quite a few auctions like this every year, this looks like another one I won't be missing.
There's one in two weeks time as well in Palmerston North.
