Will drag a few out of the parts box and have a look. Doesn't look like one of those modified ones to me. Mike.

Markings look more like White than WRA. I would say it is not WRA, due to a couple other things, but I'm not sure if White had an M2 hammer contract or if it is a modified M1

.
Mikey was your hammer made by Inland then given to WRA?

Back in the old days many M1
hammers were ground down to the M2 shape. That was for production of M2 carbines to Police Forces and to sell on the side without knowledge of illegal modification.

Trekvana and Bill. Thanks for the replies and info. I am not sure if this marking is just a W or a W.1. Can't find an answer to it in the books and am hoping someone more knowledgable than me might chime in. It is not one of those M1
Hammers ground down to accept the dis-connector, got some of them, and they are completely different. A PI marked dis-connector was with it when I found it so that might be a clue. Wear and colour on both are compatible. Mike.
