The original ammo was gun show bought, formed on 30-06 caes, 150 grain bullet and 44 grains of some kind of powder. I got some Norma 174 grain bullet with 60 grains of röksvagt krut ( smokeless gunpowder) and a stated MV of 2500fps. Shoots low about the same. Going to a show tomorrow and will try to find some of the cheap stuff, the Norma is way too expensive to spray around the countryside, until I get this figured out. In order to check out the operator I unloaded a 1918 SMLE with 36 year old POFicon ammo at the target. Just point and shoot and a hole appears in the black, boring.
