Agreed, Mark. I was watching a documentary on the German Junkers JU-88 bomber today. They showed a pair of armorers installing MG34 machine guns into the aircraft, a process that required a man outside and a man inside the aircraft. During the installation, the man outside the aircraft had to stand on a latter and pull the through a flexible sleeve with the barrel aimed at his face. Clearly, in wartime, life is cheaper.
