A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. Another odd ball from "the shed" tm

We have never been able to figure this box out. Even some of the ammo specialists and collectors are scratching the bald spot over this one.
    33 rounds ???????
Second photo is off the shipping crate of Long Branch rifles.....including, breech cover, bayonet and scabbard and frogs. I'll try and get a better photo of the contents label, but just no way to get it right now.

Warrens shed full of boxes reminds me of a little ex WD surplus shop along the road into Oxford here. They had a pile of old wood boxes ouitside including about 8 or so No4T chests, all in reasonably good order, described as 'handy carpenters tool boxes'. I think the price then was £8 each. Mind you, it was about 15 years ago. I suppose that there are some lucky carpenters in Oxford with tool boxes worth more than the contents of their tool kits!
