Whoa! I had no idea that I was opening such a can, when it comes to restocking a rifle....that crappy bubba'ed stock is starting to look OK again....
I look forward to seeing those pictures. How can you tell where the metal work is touching the furniture let alone how much pressure is being exerted?

I have removed just enough wood so that the lower forestock and buttstock are both under a slight pressure fit (I can always remove more wood later), I have no idea if or where the barrell, reciever or knox might be touching though. I did have to removed a small amount of wood from the front face of each recoil lug to get the forestock on well, so I know they are exerting some forward pressure.
