I'm trying to decide between letting DGR refinish and reparkerize and accurize it, or just dropping it into a CMP
set of furniture.

That is a tempting option due to the cost savings, but the thought of having my rifle's metal parkerized, precise fitting to stock and furniture, sight adjustment and a great job on the wood is mighty tempting. I'm not so hot at woodwork

The idea is the wood is just drop in. There shouldn't be a whole lot of wood work to do. Isn't that right Bill? That would be cheap enough. I don't know if you need to re-finish the metal...

Yeah the wood is no-fit from what I have heard.
I think think the finish on the metal is fine. Amsdorf, I'm sure whatever you do you'll be happy. Good luck and have fun with this.
