RIA rifle assembled by SA
OK guys, this looks like one of the late RIA receivers sent to SA to be assembled, right?
I think the DAL stock is correct, too. See anything not right?
Might be a nice addition to someones collection.

Mike - I like the metal on this; could very well be a Springfield assembled Rock Island. I'd like a '27 barrel date better. A NS marked bolt is always a plus. The stock I like somewhat less, an obvious refinish; a crisp S.A.D.A.L. cartouche and a "P" behind the trigger guard would be better. Dunno about the start price either; seems optimistic. Glad you posted it for review.

I think the bbl date and reciever SN are OK for what you stated. The rifle as shown appears to be an assemblage of parts to possibly portend it as "correct". Too many things in the pics just don't add up to "original".
FWIW,

The rifle is indeed an RIA receiver that was sent to Springfield for finishing and assembly. The rifle appears original except that the stock has been sanded and the handguard has been replaced.
FWIW.

p.s.,
And as Mike D noted, a Remington windage knob.

Dang ... wish I wasn't in hock (gunwise, that is!) up to my eyeballs!
The handguard looks like a Remington M1903?

Kinda looks like a high-hump that has been sanded. Maybe a Rem windage knob?

I am unable to determine the "month" of the 1928 barrel date. Can anyone else see it ??
Thanks DW

Hey Rick!
I can help alleviate your gun hock.
And yes, that's a Remington handguard.
