    Thanks for your input, guys. I'd been watching this M1A1icon for a while now and although it looks good to my inexperienced eye, it's hard not to wonder why it isn't bringing any interest because the reserve seems to be in the ball park if this carbine is indeed original and correct. I couldn't help but note that some of the pix were blurry and when we see pix like that it raises suspicion, whether unfounded or not. I wasn't looking for a part-by-part critique, just a yes or no from those here on this forum whose opinions and expertise I've come to respect.

    Because it is not original nor is it correct. The carbine looks to be correct, as does the stock, but the two did not leave Inland together as an assembled M1A1.
