Hey Gang
I just wanted to show you how my 1903A2 looked like when I brought it home from the local gunshow. Since my last posts I've found out a few more details about the rifle. The rifle was never a NM rifle. Its a USMC service rifle. Started life as a A2 sub-caliber device and sometime around 1939-40 was built into what you see now. Was built with a 1939 National match barrel and C-64112 rear sight assembly and a whole mix of different parts from all periods. The stock is a C-stock with service rifle number on bottom of buttstock also 1939-40 in origin. The pipe wrench marks on the barrel and texturing on the buttplate scream USMC. I wanted to thank my buddy Len at CMPfor looking it over. In all the years he's been around he was tickled pink to see it. This is only the third A2 he's ever seen.Attachment 25871Attachment 25862Attachment 25863Attachment 25864Attachment 25865Attachment 25866Attachment 25867Attachment 25868Attachment 25869Attachment 25870Attachment 25861
