I thought the CMPicon site said the fixed the problem with poor fitting stocks? I'd call 'em. Maybe they sent you one of the older versions? If you keep it remember the wood will stand proud above the metal hardware a bit. As they got rebuilt they were sometimes sanded almost flush with the metal. Bubba will sand it nice and flush while "restoring" a stock with 30 grit sandpaper on a grinder. LOL! With the metal still mounted! LOL!

I just received one myself and am pleased. Mine was a drop-in as far as the receiver/barrel/trigger group were concerned. I had to enlarge the hole for the rear buttplate screw and remove a little wood to get the lower handguard ring to slide on. I would much rather remove wood than try and add it.

Sucks that you got a bad one. The barrel not being centered is waaay bad. I just wanted people to know that they do sell some nice ones. I hope you are the exception.

CMPicon are good people. I'm sure they'd make it right, unless you feel you're in to deep to quit. Those stocks are made by Boyd right?
