Mudgee, lovely collection.
Have to confess I never heard of a Patt 14 SMLE. I was expecting to see .22 P14s.

I put a Parker no.9g on my pattern 14 no.1. It's one of my favourites. Nice to see yours and with a Parker Hiscock no less!

Yes these are rare form what i know the Patt 14 No 1 there was only about 428 made, it is clearly marked on the rifle Patt 14 No 1 and the other two are marked the same but with the No2 which i beleive these was about 1200 of those made. thank you bouletbill

I als own one of the smle based .22 trainers, mine is a no2 mk4 converted from a patt' 14 during standardisation in the 1920's, its great fun to shoot and is a proven competition winner when i'm having a good day! if you skip over to the lee enfield forum you will find a whole series of very interesting articles on this series of trainers, it has all the info yuo could possibly need, but be warned, there are lots of variants and you will soon want them all!!!
