I was just kidding about the M1Aicon shooters, but they do consistently complain about 7.62 costs, and go through it like mad practicing for those matches.

.303 more expensive than 7.62. ? Yeah, Guess it's been a while since I bought .303 Mid nineties was last I purchased any in the box. I used to reload it and still have about 100 rounds of my old reloads and a few more hundred good brass. Time to bust out the press again.

7.62 has gone up quite a bit in the last couple years. Did not know .303 had as well.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. I will accept PayPal, Zelle, MO and good old checks (and cash if you want to stop by for a tour!). CLICK BANNER to send me a PM for International pricing and shipping. Good MkVII .303 is getting kind of scarce. New Prvi Partizan MkVIIIz ammo isn't horribly expensive, but not all Enfields like it, accuracy wise. Greek .303 was good, but it's about dried up. South African MkVIII ammo was good too, but Berdan primed. Also hard to find any more.

My last .303 ammo purchase was some wretched 1950s Britishicon surplus (as noted above). Before that was a case of Prvi.

It would be super if some bullet mfg. would go to the trouble of producing some real MkVII type projectiles.
