    Hey Folks

I write about military history and frequently have detailed questions about uniforms, ordnance, etc. This looks like a great forum to have that happen.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. I will accept PayPal, Zelle, MO and good old checks (and cash if you want to stop by for a tour!). CLICK BANNER to send me a PM for International pricing and shipping. Manufacturer of various vintage rifle scopes for the 1903 such as our M73G4 (reproduction of the Weaver 330C) and Malcolm 8X Gen II (Unertl reproduction). Several of our scopes are used in the CMP Vintage Sniper competition on top of 1903 rifles. Brian Dick ... Hello everyone, I am a 69 yo veteran of the US Navy and Have two safes overflowing with long guns. My milsurps are: Springfield 03A3; P14; Maadi AK clone; NORC M14icon with GI furniture; a couple of M 48s, a nice 1943 Mauser; and a Carcano carbine bring back (by my father). I also have a Walther in 22lr with the correct officer's holster and belt, also inherited from my father and a presentation Nazi bayo. My hunting rifles are all LH as am I. I have at least one of just about all of the working mens rifles, Winnie, Savage, Ruger, Remington, Browning and a bunch of 22s and BP rifles. I am not really a collector as much as an accumulator. Hope y'all don't mind an interloper from the lower 48 intruding here. REO

PS Forgot to mention the two AR 15s I used in competition.

    My Intro

    Hullo All:

By way of introduction, lety me say that I found my way here while searching for authorative information about antique military fireams (well, not so very antique, 1860-1960). In particular, I am interested in acquring armourers manuals for the period (Matrini-Henry, Two band Snider,Schmidt-Rubin M1889, Argentineicon Mausers of the period, Sten, SMLE, Lee-Enfield No. 4, Bren and Sterling). I have not yet moved into US weapons, but the Garrand M1icon and the Springfield Rifle will be my starting points.

My military past includes stints with the Royal Armoured Corps (Westminster Dragoons) and the RAF Regiment (Marksman/Weapons Training Instructor) in the 1950's and 60's - so I am not quite as antique as the weapons that I enjoy shooting.

In particular, I am looking for reliable sources of antique amunition; especially for the Schmidt-Rubin M89.

Best Regards to All .. .. .. Later, RAFTYPE

I have put a few rounds down range at Camp Perry and visit the CMPicon when I can. Im not on the computer a lot and dont get to go shooting as often as Id like to. Safe shooting everyone. Mike,,

    Newbie

Hi! I'm a newbie to the board and my computer skills are almost non-existent. I hope you will be gentle for any faux-pas I may commit. I've been collecting for thirty years and am starting to divest my collection, however small. I realize that now is not the time to be selling with the economy the way it is but I bought this stuff CHEAP years ago so whatever I can unload is a +. I will make every effort not to embarrass myself. Thanks!

    Hello everyone!
I’m a new member here, interested in Frenchicon flintlock long guns from 1700 to 1835 and percussion handguns like the French 1873 gun .

I use them very often during national competitions.

Have some officially declared handguns , S&W 14-3 and more.
also have a M1icon carbine # 15151 Inland with 7-42 Inland barrel but with Underwood stock.
and a ammunition lot repacked 6-44. perhaps from Us to France throughout D-DAY why not ?
