Sorry mate, we are like the apes, things have'nt evolved at all. It's getting so bad that our environment is being threatened and we are rapidly becoming close to extinction.
So go out in a blaze of glory, smelling of sweets solvent, floor scattered with blueish peices of forby, bottles of hoppes with rags stuffed in the necks to use as molotov cocktails, and the ever present stubbie of whatever in hand.

You could all ways try the way they cleaned them in WW1 which was to pee down the barrel as the ammonia acted as a solvent of sorts (Ha Ha Ha) and or pored boiling water down them to clean powder residue out of them then hit them with the solvent. The old corrosive primers this works a treat as it strips the salts and residue from the barrel, which also heats it up in preperation for useing a solvent to lift the copper from the rifling. And you can do this while lubricating your throat with a cold drink or a nice cuppa depending on your disposition.
