beautiful rifle - question ...what date would you apply to her ? if 603 - 67 or so it would have the birdcage not the duckbill flash hider ,

It would be 1964 to early 1967 for an early model 603 (XM16E1). Three prong (later style) would be correct for the partial fence, early 603 lower. Birdcage did not come out until 1967 with the late 603, standardized as M16A1. I'm building an early 603 with a partial fence lower. These are M16A1s and have the full fence lowers, so they are late 603s, M16A1s. They would have birdcage FHs, and type E stocks with trap doors for cleaning kit.
