Yes , because of two factors . The red sand that got into everything and gave everyone fits . You get a little bit of that on the top rear of your bolt or into the locking recess in the reciever , your not going to get lockup and your gun won't fire. Second , this was not a truly milspec weapon by US standards and some hand fitting was done on assembly. Gang cleaning and mixing does not work good here , but none of the end users knew till it was too late. The modern shooter ( well 99.9 % of them ) will not have these problems . True , some have problems at the beginning , usually due to something being tinkered with or worn , but when fixed are very reliable . The only thing you have to remember is to retract the bolt 1/4 inch when going from full to semi . If you don't and the hook on the full auto arm catches the ledge on the action bar and you continue to force it , it'll bend the selector arm that's trying to raise said full auto arm and therefor won't raise it at all. This then leaves the full auto arm in full auto position while the selector is set to semi , resulting in full auto fire of course.
