    What is the No.6
    No.1 up to Mk6 I'm aware of - Broadly speakign No.1 = SMLE
    No.2 - No.1 tranir in .22LR
    No.3 - P14
    No.4 - nuff said
No.5 - Jungle carbine with mythical wandering zero
    No.7 - Brit and Canadianicon 22LR No.4 trainer
    No.8 - L42/39alike trainer in 22LR
No.9 - As per other thread

I've never heard people speak of a rifle No.6. what are they?

"The Lee Enfield" by Ian Skennertonicon pages 348-350 gives a full description of this "Australianicon" made rifle, if you don't have a copy of this book my advice is to get one as it answers questions you did not even know you were going to ask!!!!!!!!

Nothing mythical about the top one Warren. Not a sporter, but a BSA .22 Trainer trials rifle. There's about a hundred of them ... somewhere. The bottom one looks like it came out of the same stable but may be a pre-trials prototype. Very nice.
