    Please take look at the M1917 forum, about 4th thread down, on M1917 headspace. The camming action of an M1917 is so powerful that they make great gauge crushers.

    Chuck has described how to use gauges properly in an M1917 - you need to go very carefully, otherwise you are just squeezing the gauges!
