While you're at it, make sure the gas screw is tight, it only takes a few seconds.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. I will accept PayPal, Zelle, MO and good old checks (and cash if you want to stop by for a tour!). CLICK BANNER to send me a PM for International pricing and shipping. Mr. Admin,

I beg to differ with you. This thread clearly starts out as saying Deans screwed me. It is not stating the fact that a 10 year old build has a problem that is not Deans fault by any stretch. The title and the statement on how Deans refused help shows me the original poster is blaming Dean but in reality it is the owners fault as this clearly happened while in storage and something was dropped on it. No way did he take this rifle and just put it away. If he did shame on him but not Dean.

Personally I do not like how this thread has been making its way all around trying to put blame on Dean for someone else mistake. Rick Bicon

Agree. This is the second post from low # posters airing dirt. It'd be different if poster had 250+ posts, but these smell fishy to me. 10 year warranty? Please.......

The original poster has asked his question and got his answer, there is no point in debating the intent as this will go nowhere.
