Albanian SKS.
Have an opportunity to purchase an Albanian SKS. Any thoughts on these? I have heard both good and bad things about them. I'm mainly interested in it due to it's somewhat rarity. Thanks!

Get it! Unless it's stupidly high priced. I'm not a huge SKS collector, but that variant is kinda distinctive what with the curved charging handle. Haven't seen one in quite a while.

The guys that went to former Yugo saw lots of them! Just couldn't bring any home. I can't really imagine what would be wrong with them over another SKS. I'd get it, even if not for shooting. Like JMOORE says, comparitive rarity alone...

Price is $350. Have owned every other SKS variant out there, but not an Albanian. Just seems a bit steep for an SKS, but everyone else has said grab it. It's true, haven't seen one of these in a while. Will probably go in the safe with the Rashid........

I believe I saw the very rifle today, whilst on a road trip. Missing a small piece of wood from the front LH side of the handguard?
I thought of you when I saw it, Anzac15. Almost bought it, but the FDE SCAR 17s is calling me to blow lots o' funds. That, and it felt a bit unfair!
If it's NOT the same rifle, I may have to go back for it...

If you saw it at Bullseye, that's the one. Haven't been able to get back over there to see if it's still there. Might have to take a drive over there tomorrow..
