It sounds like you're more or less in love with this one. I wouldn't buy it at all just because of the history I have read in this post. With a shabby bore I wouldn't be interested at all. The rear sight is VERY important as it's about the first thing a fellow collector will lay eye's on. That's going to cost you and they're hard to find. If the rifle's not right it's not right. If you buy something that isn't right, it may consume you over time. I know, it's happened to me.
So what I'm saying is no, leave it alone. Just my thoughts.Information
