I always go with "beauty and the beast" when i talk about the two milsurps in my safe - both are the same age (1943) and the same design family (enfield) but the difference in finish is interesting to see!

Hello Im a new member and this is my first post. I found this kind of funny because, now I know I'm not the only one who names things. I have a NAA 22mag that I call the crickett. It's from the movie Men In Black Will Smith had a tiny gun they called a noisy crickett so it seamed to fit.My dad had an old shotgun that we called Long Tom or just Tom for as long as I can remember. It belongs to my nephew now and still carries the name.I also have a 44 mag that my kids started calling the Rodger Rabbit gun when they were little. They always said it reminded them of the giant cartoon gun from the movie.
