Recent No1 Mk V import....
For those that may recall the No1 Mk V that I bought on Gunbroker early this year and imported via Brian Dick
, was wanting to get some pics last week to co-inside with the No1 Mk V that was at Scotarms, but was on deaths door at the time, so along with the bubba No1 Mk V I,ve been turning in to a reasonable shooter, progress has been made, and as I had a bit of spare time (not as much as Bill Hollinger) managed to get some pics etc,
It was missing the forward handgaurd, rear sight bent and forward barrel band (still missing), and the rear of the fore-end required a repair,

The straightened sight

For some it may it may of sounded a mad idea to import it from the USA
, it wasnt complete, and with the overheads on the initial cost I probably could have waited for one to pop up, but it was the serial Number that Interested me more than anything, as can be seen below, next to its younger member of the family.

Still a few things to sort out, but will go into more detail in the restorers corner, also more pics of the Bubba rebuild.

nice I have two one of which was a basket case managed to get a forestock, rear sight and a front band from Efd. I've started a rebuild the bridge charger guide had to reformed as did the knox form. So far haven't got that far but well worth restoring the old girl.
Good luck with it.
