Sears used to list (and sell) a lot of guns, mostly "sporting" but some surplus. The "Ted Williams"-brand rifles and shotguns you occasionally see on Gunbroker and other locations, were marketed by Sears in the late 1950s and 1960s. I remember, in particular, when I was about 12 (very early 1960s) trying to talk my parents into getting me a .22 in the Sears Christmas catalog (which was the high point of every child's holiday season, back then).
