I am a new member and am happy to be among a group of people with common interest.
I am a veteran with a lot of experiences in the military. After military I taught school, ran a vocational school and then was the director of maintenance in a large school system here in Wv.I grew up on a hillside farm in the 40's and 50's in the coal producing area of Wv where we raised and reaped nature's bounty to set the table.
I want to thank each of you for letting me be a member of an interesting website that gives me an opportunity to share interest and ideas and learn so much that I want t know with the membership. Again thank you. Looking forward to hearing from you.

I'm fairly certain this is my first experience with forums and internet exchanges of this type, so I'm pleased to make everyone's electronic "acquaintance".

My motivation for joining Milsurps.com is that I recently acquired a Ross 1910 Mk III - one of "bucket list" rifles. It's a full military wood specimen and seems to be complete in all respects.

I'm keen to learn more about my new treasure.

Looking to learn about my grampas 303 and was told this is the place. No 4 mk 1 Ser# P291xxA England N19 with a crown under it. R something F stamped on wrist, looks like a C.
1 something 42 also on wrist. 2 lands and 2 grooves.
Its been sporterized. When cleaning there is a spot near the end of the barrel that the brush pushes through real easy, almost like there is a bulge. Then it gets tight again.
Some ammo I reload hits 3 shots in 10 inches as it is. Wall hanger or keep trying.
