Wow............. when you say full CES, that really is the full CES. Even the later, big 3 to 12 L17 scope too! A real worthy successor to the L42 in my book and something for every sniper collector to aim for - if you'll excuse the pun!

May I be so bold as to enquire what you consider to be good titles on the subject of Sniping?
Cheers,

With the help of a few members ( Peter & Roger ), have been trying to locate one, the ones that were available in the UK
were released by mistake and come from a Police Anti Terrorist unit, and approx 10 were released, a dealer bought them all and shifted them as soon as they arrived, Believe the price was 3500 pounds, one that was sold is up for sale by another dealer who now wants 10,000 pound and has added a few extras?, possibly another coming up in the near future a bit cheaper, as these were Police ones they differed regarding the foresight I,m told ?, as for the chances of picking up an ex Milsurp one, think you have more chance of finding the holy grail.

I'll see if I can't find a 30mm mount Marty but please don't hold me to it........... But woweeeeeeeeeeeee, what an example. Night vision too, jeeeees! Are they really THAT rare Big Duke? Surely not. I can't see how, legally, that anyone could have had an embargo on sales unless they were self imposed, like the MoD ones.

It seems they are, if the MOD did destroy all there stockpile, then the only ones available would be the Police ones that are still in service, the ones I mention were released by mistake? The dealer I spoke to was most helpful, down to what profit he made and it was peanuts.
I did ask AI if they have enough parts left to build one, still waiting for there reply but can guess their answer! They have parts but these are to supply to the Police. I guess the one I seen a few years back on guntrader was one of the 10.

What's the connection to the Highland Light Infantry, or did I miss it?

There are a several Police rifles floating around the UK
but they can't be shipped to the US anymore due to the current ATF interpretation of import regs.
If they were called L96A2 rifles they could be imported because the Military did not use a model called A2.
L96A1's are rare as hens teeth in the US, less than 10 based on some research.
We can't import L115A3's because they are issue rifles but an AWM configured exactly the same as an A3 but marked differently are importable. Government hard at work...for your safety!
Peter, As always that would be most excellent. Thanks

I agree with Geoff re availability having never ever seen one for sale here. Maybe AI could be persuaded to consider doing a 'special edition' L96 (maybe like remington's vietnam sniper M40 knock offs). I would imagine it would sell pretty well.
