He's posted the same damn question on gunboards now, the answer you gave just drifted off into space.
Who needs to explore the galaxy when the inner space is still virgin territory.

Can't someone just say that the whole question has been answered definitively, authoritatively, verse and chapter on the Milsurps forum and he should come over, even if it's just to take a look...................
We have a saying while teaching/instructing soldiers. A play on the saying '.....where there's a will, there's a way' Only we say, where there's a will, there's a difficult way! Sometimes, people just don't get it!

But how many times do we see it? A poster will ask the same question on different forums and only pay attention to the answer he was wanting to hear. Worse still, some will ask the same question, worded differently, on the same forum and ignore everything until he gets the reply he was looking for.
I just asked for a few more on gunboards to confirm the gauge this bloke is buying is wrong... maybe his eyes and ears ARE painted on...
I send as many here as will listen... but I'm afraid something keeps a lot them from walking upright....

All very amusing, NOT! I deal with this almost weekly. They are all more informed than I thanks to all the great, (and FREE), information on the internet so I rarely argue anymore. I DO refuse to sell them bolt heads sometimes if they annoy me too much!! It's back to the saying coined many years ago: "The excessive headspace is between the ears of some American collectors". LOL!!

If you haven't posted the reamer yet you have missed todays collection.
Ned needs to get educated and come across out of the dark side, but then again, with the amount of cheek out of him, it's better he doesn't contaminate the young un's over here.
I've decided that headspace is just a term for the vacuum between the ears.
whats that? EDU MA CATED? never heard of it!!
See what great ideas I started suggesting Son uses the beat up old No6!! Maybe some pics of the dentist shooting would be nice.
i have been known to venture to the place where the sun doesn't set over the ocean, yeah you get it first but at least we can sit on the sand with a coldie and enjoy it, zero dark hundred hours is not good for a beer!!!
Anyway have some nice tea and SCONES@ SCONE,
cheers

Attachment 28985Attachment 28984Attachment 28983SON at 300 and 600 and a shot of Aberdeen Rifle Range from 600yds.
Well Ned you started something, the boy took up your challenge to use the No.6, maybe picked a bad day though, Aberdeen Range at it's best can be pretty tricky for us locals, but with a sou'easterly belting around the mountain, it's a constant fishtail.
But I did get a couple of happy pic's of the boy in action.(leaves a lot to be desired)
Enjoy...and don't **** stir.

They say a bad day at the range is better than a good day at work... well I had a bad day at the range and it was GREAT
Nearly a hundred rounds (HXP MkVII) through the little carbine from 200 to 600yds, quite a few of which went through paper on their way into the backstop. Followed that by a couple of matches at 600 and 700 with the HT for a total of another fifty rounds. I messed up the 600 but scored well at 700 with half of shots scoring 8 or better I put all 20 in the scoring zone. Interesting course of fire... a couple of sighters, followed by ten shots in three minutes then into a snap, five exposures of 5 seconds each for two rounds per exposure- these ten make a total of 20 rounds to score. Total, 153/200. grin factor AAA
Thanks to the High Power guys who always turn on a very friendly and competitive shoot, and to muffet.2008 for the effort he puts in to keep the Aberdeen range and it's 109 years of history going.
(BTW, when muffet.2008 said above "leaves a lot to be desired" he wasn't talking about the picture quality.... )
