    is it not a civie bushnell scope with the front lens cap placed on top of the elevation cap?

    Yeah My fishing is deciding what variety I am going to have cooked in batter at the fish and chip shop!
    the esky is usually my domain as well.

    Yer right REX. Check the Leeuwin current direction and source then ask what sort of fish we catch. You might catch most of the good Lithgows etc but we might just pip you on ocean inhabitors.

    Are my eyes deceiving me?

    It looks like a lot of those snipers have U.S. M-1907 slings mounted on their No 4 Ts. An excellent shooting aid, the M-1907. I don't believe our military teaches anyone other than rifle team members and snipers how to actually USE them anymore. Too bad.
