Hello
New to the site but I've been collecting and shooting military rifles for the past twenty or so years. I've got a fondness for semiautos, new and old, but lately I've found myself looking at more older bolt rifles. I love the history behind and the shooting of all my pieces.

Hello
Hi. I'm Terry and live in Oklahoma. I've just started in this hobby of antique weapons, and trying to learn as much as possible. Been shooting and reloading all my life, but collecting is new. Thanks for the opportunity to join the forum, and hopefully, one of these days, I can contribute and give back a little. Right now though there is so much excellent information that I've just started reading.
Thanks to everyone involved, really appreciate it.

Martini Enfield carbine
Hello,
I'm a new member just signing in. I've been monkeying with surplus rifles for decades. A pal put me on to this site.
I have an old Martini Enfield carbine, purchased from Century Arms some years back. They sold it to me as a .303 British
. It's some sort of Kyber Pass redo or such. My pal discovered that it is not chambered for the .303 Br, but some sort of cartridge resembling a .32 Win Special. The bore is ~.321" and the length from the rim to the bottom of the shoulder is ~1.4".
Does anyone know of a possible cartridge that might fit the bill. I'm looking in my books but haven't had any luck yet. Maybe it's some sort of home-brewed odd-ball that was local to where the little carbine was?
Any helpwould be most appreciated.
Best Regards, Mike Bever

Belated Hello from Texas
Hello, My name is Fred Ganske. I joined a year ago but never introduced myself and haven't been around in a while. I have been collecting militaria for around 30 years and started reenacting WWII (British
Airborne) in 1991. I have also reenacted US infantry-Punitive Expedition, WWI US, WWII US Army, WWII USMC and WWII German
SS. I served as the Tank Commander for the M4 105H Sherman tank in the General Scribner Museum collection at Camp Mabry for ten years. I am putting together a Spanish American kit and am really interested in the period 1898-1916. I posted some photos of a portion of my collection from this period in the photo gallery. Cheers

After finding quite some usefull info about the Bren etc I couldn't help myself to join the forum because I'm a blankfiring Bren Mk2 owner.
Now I need to start with my homework again and stop searching the forum!

I have one as well. It shoots horribly and destroys 303 cases YOur pal may be right; it may not be 303 at all. That would explain teh keyholding nad case swelling. Any idea of what bayonet it takes? It does not take a95. Martini. The little carb is marked Enfield 1923
