A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. Image shack has a ton of pop ups and your settings may be on the high side. Try this; RIGHT click on the image, select save "picture as....". That will bring ups some choices, select "DESKTOP", then save at the bottom right. Then, go to your desktop and click on the picture and it will open it and you can zoom it etc.

    high No. Springfield

Carsonlilly, It's a little hard to see the condition of the rifle in the pictures. However as long as the buttplate area has not been cutofff or otherwise modified all you would really need is a 1903 buttplate and proper screws, a milled 1903 lower band assembly and maybe a sling. This would make the rifle very presentable. Run a patch or 2 with some hoppes thru the bore and then examine it with a light or borelight. The parts are available at most gunshows or thru Ebay, Numrich gun parts Corp, Sarco etc. Get the headspace checked before firing. The stock looks to be a nice finger groove type and if not sanded or otherwise modified is a real joy. The 1903a3 bolt parts could also be replaced with 1903 parts. Nice find!!
