Very Impressive!

I know that I have said this before, but the lowly M-1 Carbine is still impressive as a light weight, sub 200 yard PDW. Not too bad after 70+ years! What got me thinking about this was a conversation I had this week end with my cousin (actually my wife's cousin) who is a carbine lover (not on this forum, though, but he has five including an original, untouched Inland with early features).
He recently read an article about some police departments buying up USGI M1 carbines, I guess reworking them with new springs, etc. and issuing them for patrol carbines. (Hmmm, I did that for many years as an LEO... I guess I was ahead of my time).
